Increasing the skills of people with disabilities

Recipients

CACI is intended for people with disabilities, aged 18 or over, who are unable, temporarily or permanently, to continue their training or carry out a professional activity, or who are in the process of socio-professional inclusion, particularly between work experiences.

Areas of intervention and services

CACI pursues its objectives in the following areas of intervention:

  • Development of relational, personal and social skills;
  • Promotion of well-being, quality of life, occupation and interaction with the environment;
  • Training for social and professional inclusion.

Concluded projects

COMMUNICATE

Project objectives:

  • Promote the visibility of the artistic potential of people with disabilities;
  • Raise awareness in the local community about the issues of people with disabilities, through a positive approach to the image of people with disabilities, which is not based on a welfare-based vision and which breaks with negative stereotypes;
  • Promote contact between beneficiaries with disabilities and different cultural contexts.

  • Collective sculpture exhibition
  • Music program

Recipients:

Around 40 young people and adults with intellectual disabilities and around 30 children and young people involved in artistic activities in the municipality of Tavira will directly benefit from the project. Beneficiaries will be of both genders and from various socio-economic levels. Around 300 people from the community will also be indirect beneficiaries of the exhibitions and shows to be organised.
